About Dr. Huiying (Alice) Gu
Dr. Huiying (Alice) Gu graduated from Shanghai Second Medical School, China in 1983 and subsequently, underwent post-graduate training in general pediatrics and pediatric cardiology. She practiced pediatrics in Shanghai, China for 15 years.
Dr. Gu began adult echocardiography training in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1999 and worked at Echocardiogram Lab in a tertiary cardiac center, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Center, an affiliation of the University of Toronto for more than 2 years.
After successfully completed her medical qualification exams for both Canada and the US, Dr. Gu moved to Florida in June 2002 for pediatric residency training at Sacred Heart Hospital, an affiliation to the University of Florida.
In 2005, Dr. Gu finished her 3-year residency training and started to work as a general pediatrician in California. She takes care of all age groups of pediatric patients from newborn to 21-year old, including well exam, sports physical, immunization, chronic medical disorders, acute illness, and some mental problems such as ADHD. She also does some procedures including laceration repair, toenail removal, and applying splinting. She is well trained for newborn circumcision. She accepts referrals from other facilities and providers for circumcision and echocardiogram.
